About Ashanti & Nishan

Ashanti, our dreamer, embarked on a journey from Sri Lanka to Toronto alongside her parents during her teenage years. 

This transformative experience, filled with memories and growth, forms the very essence of maNASA Tea™. 

In Toronto, Ashanti pursued her passion for Fine Jewelry Arts, honing her skills as a designer, buyer, product developer, marketer, and, eventually, an e-commerce developer. Her extensive travels for buying journeys and trade shows around the world instilled in her the courage to venture into the world of tea with maNASA Tea™. 

Fueled by her family's passion for premium Ceylon tea and her genuine love for fine teas, Ashanti used her experiences in product design, marketing, and e-commerce expertise to establish the maNASA Tea™ brand. This fusion of professional insight and passion for tea along with her dedication to living a sustainable lifestyle ensures the quality and success of maNASA Tea™. 

On the other hand, Nishan's journey is a testament to resilience and determination, working multiple jobs to finance his education. Leaving Sri Lanka during his formative teenage years, he pursued studies in the USA before finding his place in Canada, where destiny brought him together with Ashanti. Today, they proudly navigate the joys of parenthood with their young son, a testament to their unwavering commitment to each other. 

Nishan's background in Digital Marketing and expertise in Search Engine Optimization have been more than just influential—they've been indispensable in propelling maNASA Tea™ forward. His strategic insights and innovative marketing approaches have played a crucial role in positioning our brand in the competitive tea market. 

Despite his involvement in the tea world, Nishan remains a steadfast coffee enthusiast, roasting his own coffee beans. Ashanti persists in her efforts to convert him into a tea lover. While he now savors a cup of afternoon tea, the journey to full conversion continues.
