Exceptionally smooth and full of character – a true Ceylon gem!

I’ve tried a lot of black teas over the years, but this tea really stands out. From the moment you open the pouch, you’re hit with this rich, slightly floral aroma that hints at the depth to come.
Makes a deep amber color with a malty character—no bitterness at all, which is rare for a strong black tea. There’s this subtle caramel note in the background that makes it incredibly smooth and satisfying. I enjoyed it with a bit of milk and it held up beautifully without losing its complexity.
This is the kind of tea that makes you slow down and really savor the fine Ceylon tea. Whether you’re a seasoned tea drinker or just getting into pure Ceylon teas, this is one that deserves a permanent place in your kitchen. So gud wasn't exaggerating when they called it “extra special.”
Highly recommended for mornings or afternoon, or even as a thoughtful gift for a fellow tea lover.

Wow! thank you for your amazing feedback! Sound like you've mastered the brewing a cup of fine Ceylon Tea! Yes, we absolutely agree with you! This tea is exceptionally special!

Decent Black Tea

My first experience with loose tea - do like how I can experiment with how many tea leaves I want to use to make a cup of coffee - I seem to like the stronger taste so put more leaves in when I make this. However, do note that loose tea is a bit more of a hassle to use than a pre-packaged tea bag which makes for much easier clean up.
The taste is decent but I wouldn't say it is the best black tea out there. Solid 4 stars.

Thank you for the valuable feedback. Please use an 8-oz (250ml) cup instead. The right amount of water and milk will make a delicious cup of tea. Now we have the same tea in a compostable, plastic-free tea bag for your convenience: https://sogud4u.com/products/golden-reserve-tea

Strong complex flavor

These tea leaves do make a strong cup of tea that has a rich complex flavor without being overly bitter or acerbic. I tried brewing a second cup with the leaves, but it was too weak to be worth it, so it's some cup per serving tea. I found that the tea was a little weak at the suggested 1 tsp of leaves per cup,but I do use a large 16oz tea cup. In my opinion it is far better with milk (or soy milk) than black. I have brewed it in a French press, a tea strainer, and a pod brewer (in a reusable pod) and all brewing methods tasted good.

Thank you for the valuable feedback. Please use an 8-oz (250ml) cup instead of a 16-oz cup to make 1 cup of tea. It will make a much tastier cup of tea. Now we have the same tea in a compostable, plastic-free tea bag for your convenience: https://sogud4u.com/products/golden-reserve-tea
